Two Celebrated British Brands Join Forces to Create Cutler and Gross & Paul Smith Eyewear

Paul Smith Eyewear

Totally British and expertly made by hand – the new eyewear collaboration co-designed by Paul Smith and Cutler and Gross debuted during the designer’s spring-summer 2019 show at Paris Fashion Week. The collection is a tribute to Tony Gross, the co-founder of Cutler and Gross who died in March 2018 and who was a close friend of Paul Smith.

The limited-edition, unisex glasses feature a combination of acetate and metal frames in classic silhouettes that boast beautiful, sophisticated details embodying unique Smith’s tailoring and use of color. The frames are offered in eight hues, including tortoiseshell, purple and classic black, and named after famous London streets such as ‘Arnold,’ ‘Abbot,’ and ‘Maida Vale.’

Every pair of glasses is meticulously crafted by hand at Cutler and Gross’ own Italian factory and comes fitted with lenses offered by Dalloz Creations, a global leader in designing and manufacturing high-end sun lenses. Following a rigorous manufacturing process, the spectacles are built from the highest-grade materials with exceptional attention to every detail.

The collaboration is a limited-edition line of 500 pieces, with each frame individually numbered. This refined and extremely elegant eyewear is designed to celebrate the meeting of two British brands’ DNA, based on the same love of thoughtful, handcrafted design and unmatched quality.
